Hi Andrew,
Really good shots of your spider webs. I don’t think there is anything special about them as they are quite common. The reason you can see them now is because the cold air allows dew to settle on them and they show up. I remember seeing these when I was a child. Don’t know which variety of arachnid they are though. See if you can find one and photograph it. I get curios about things like this!
I spent 4 yrs researching the vine weevil and ended up with more info’ on them than they had in the Nat’ History museum. I had a plague of them on my roof garden and lost loads of plants. It was in my own interest to study them and find a way to kill them. And so I did. I still have some but not in great numbers as I had before.
