Increasingly we seem to be told to consider our health - "don't eat junk food, exercise regularly" etc - we are constantly bombarded with statistics regarding various forms cancer and conditions such as heart disease. In the UK, since the creation of the NHS in 1948, a culture of looking to Doctor's and surgeons to diagnose and successfully treat our illnesses seems to be have been fostered. However, we have seen an increase in the use of things like Breast Cancer screening, prostate cancer fears and so on. But what aren't we being told? What safe, cheap and effective treatments have been suppressed? Why have they been suppressed? Let's look at the evidence.
